If a survey is conducted to know the working ability of people then it will reveal that most of the people keep working for the whole day then also there work remains incomplete. Many people say that earlier there working ability was very nice. They used to do their work quickly. Earlier they used to work with heart & concentration, but now the situation have reversed today what they used to do in one day is completed in three days, with promotion many other responsibilities comes on to the shoulder. In such situation they lack in working ability & concentration.

Some people finds out the reason of decreasing working abilities & tries to find out the solution, but some people fails to find out the decreasing working abilities & their problem increases day by day.

Now question arises how to increase the working ability & what to do so that we can complete our on time.

360 Degree Appraisal


360 degree appraisal was developed by General Electric Company of the USA in 1992 and soon got popularity throughout the globe. In India, several companies follow this technique. These companies include Wipro, Reliance Industries, Thomas Cook, Godrej Soaps, Infosys Technologies etc.

Under this technique, employees or manager rating is done by gathering data on a person’s skills, abilities and behavior from everyone above, alongside and below him inside & outside the company for eg. The manager, peers, subordinate, customers and even clients etc. thus appraisal of an employee under this technique is done by his superiors, his peers, his subordinates and clients or outsiders with whom he interacts regularly in the course of his job performance.

In 360 degree appraisal, besides appraising the performance of the assesse his other attributes like behavior, values, technical capabilities are also appraised.

Performance Appraisal
